About Speech & Language Therapy
We diagnose and treat disorders of speech and language. Karen Everett works with the children enrolled in the LEAP program and Barbara Griffin works with a limited number of preschoolers and K-5 children here at Madroña who need assistance with specific language disorders, fluency issues or speech sound production.
Student Updates
Parents will receive updates in mid December with the regular report cards on the progress their students are making with their speech and language goals and objectives.

About Karen Everett
Having worked for the CVUSD for 36 years, Mrs. Everett is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. This is her third year at Madroña having moved from Meadows Elementary School with the LEAP (Learning Essentials Academic Program) special day class program. Mrs. Everett was Mrs. Griffin's master teacher many years ago and has proven to be an outstanding member of the LEAP program supporting the speech and language needs of the students. Mrs. Everett works with students in their classrooms and for pullout speech and language therapy & evaluation. Madroña has been a very welcoming school.
